My co-worker Kim called her motorbike repair shop to schedule some additional service. After she scheduled the appointment, she called back:

One more question. Do you still have that hole in the window ? [Pause] Uh huh... No, no, don't fix it... I'll just drop my keys through there again.

Apparently, this place is located in the bowels of SF (6th and Market). The first time she left her bike there, she didn't want to leave her keys under the doormat or something, so she threw it through the above-referenced hole in the window.
